UPDATE: Due to parliamentary business, Lord Benyon will not be attending Monday's AGM, but we will have a video presentation from him.
We are very fortunate to have Lord Benyon as our featured speaker at the society's Annual General Meeting on Monday, 18th October 2021. Lord Benyon is a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defra, the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). His responsibilities include Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and National Parks. In office since May, he was previously the MP for Newbury from 2005 until 2019. This will give members an opportunity to hear from him on the issues facing his department and for us to express our desire for swift action on the extension of the Dedham Vale AONB.
Before his talk, we will hold the business meeting of the AGM, the notice of which is being sent to members with the Winter 21-22 Newsletter shortly.
